The ASFA Quarterly reaches amateur and professional artists alike, as well as art directors, art show managers, publishers, collectors, and more. It's audience ranges from those just breaking into the field to working professionals, and fans alike. It's a great venue for reaching a core audience in the science fiction & fantasy arts. The ASFA Quarterly
  • Black & White high quality 8.5" x 11" format magazine focusing on Science Fiction and Fantasy arts.
  • Distribution is 600 to 900 copies 4 times per year with ideal demographics for anyone dealing in art, printing, art supplies, or Science Fiction related materials or products.

A 10% discount is available for advertisers who purchase an entire year (4 issues) of advertising. Note: It does not have to be the same ad.

Specifications (download PDF: 30kb)

  • Black and White only, 8 1/2" x 11" format
  • Full Page ads: 7 1/4" x 9 7/8" Black and white
  • Half page ads 3.5" x 9 7/8"
  • The 1/4 page vertical ad is: 3.5" x 4 7/8".

If the ad is text & line art only, it should be a minimum of 300 - 600 dpi. If there are any greyscale screens in photos, logos, etc., the resolution should be a minimum of 200 dpi for an interior ad and 300 dpi for any of the cover ads. The ad must be 100% of required size at that resolution.
 
We can accept Mac Quark files (but not PC Quark) with all art files and fonts included, Photoshop PSD, TIFF, or EPS files or Illustrator and freehand EPS files. Black and White art and text must be at least 300 dpi on all art other than basic line art.
 
All files should be on CD or Zip disk - NO FLOPPIES. Smaller files may be sent via e-mail.
 
If you do not have an ad that meets these specs, then we can help you build your ad. Fees are $65/per hour. Art charges for any ads needing work to make them print-ready will be assessed at this rate. If your ad is not ready, then we will contact you to allow you to make the corrections or decide to let us do it at the above rates.
