"Your Walrus Hurt the One You Love"
Michael Dashow is world-renowned throughout isolated parts of Oakland, CA, for his science fiction and fantasy book cover illustrations. Among other things, he has illustrated and designed just about every cover that Tachyon Publications has published. Authors he has produced book covers for include Jack McDevitt, Nancy Kress, Mary Shelley, Clifford Simak, and Avram Davidson. His cover for Peter S. Beagle's The Rhinoceros Who Quoted Nietzsche won the Chesley Award for Best Paperback Book Cover of 1997. His work has also appeared on the cover of "Fantasy and Science Fiction," in various games and comic books, and in Spectrum 5.
When he is not working on illustrations, he designs and animates characters and creatures for the fantasy computer game "Diablo II" from Blizzard Entertainment.
You can see more of Michael's work at his web page "Your Walrus Hurt the One You Love"
