My name is Scott Hahn. I graduated from The Ringling School of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration. I create all kinds of color 2D illustrations, using humor, pushing the perspectives and composing multiple character scenes, usually in larger scales. However, I've found that I'm happiest creating character sculptures / maquettes in the 3D form. The whimsical arena of Science Fiction has no limits and my mind can run wild as it wants to. It's the "hands-on" approach; pulling my creations from paper and bringing them into my world that intrigues me, trying to push boundaries and solve problems is what drives me, and getting into the detail of the thing and bringing it to life is what excites me. The 2D illustrations that I've created have allowed me to take the example of those interacting characters and create illustrations in the "round". I am a problem solver, and won't be satisfied if I don't have a challenge sitting before me. I love what I do. I love creating and showing my pieces and I absolutely love people getting close and inspecting all the little details (the hairs, the veins, the fingernails...) that make up a piece. Hopefully my ambitions will lead me to a studio where I will be able to collaborate with other talented artists in the film and special effects industry, where we can go wild and create the next level of achievement. Got to "WOW" the audience! In the mean time, you may see some of my creations in CMYK issue 17, Society of Illustrators 2001 and 2002, and Spectrum 9, due out October 2002.

Thank you for reading, and I wish YOU the best of luck in YOUR dreams.
