Inspired by books and comics, Scott Heckenlively, now 40, began his interest in genre art very young, and began to pursue it as a serious study in high-school, where he began illustrating for amateur publications and fan-oriented material.

During college he met several artists who took him under wing and nurtured his abilities; introducing him to various mediums, techniques, and applications. Since then he has worked as an artist for independent publishers of genre-based literature, video, film, and some theatrical productions as an artist and effects technician. Scott also made some contributions to software developers such as Accolade, SSI, and ATI, generating graphics and animations for cartridge and cd-ROM game platforms. He has participated in numerous exhibitions at Science Fiction Conventions and similar functions in the Bay Area, where he has received recognition by peers and fans alike.

After a two-year leave of absence performing as a musician, Scott has returned to creating fine art, and CG. He is currently working towards his BA in Psychology in San Jose, California, where he lives with his wife, Nancie, and his two teenage children, Leah and Eric.

Scott can be reached through his ASFA mailbox, or at his E-Mail address MynzeyeOne@AOL.com. (please associate yourself by mentioning ASFA so he won't think you're a solicitor). Plans for a Website are also in in the early stages of developement.
