Charles Keegan has painted covers for Tor, Del Rey and most recently for Baen Books. Between other projects Charles does poster and card art for Five Rings’ "Doomtown". He was a 1998 Chesley Award nominee and saw his first international publication in December of that same year. Four of Charles’ paintings were accepted into Spectrum V, one of which won a Judges’ Choice Award at the 1998 World Con Art Show. In January 1997 Charles appeared fighting with live steel in Discovery Channel’s Deadly Duels: Duels of Chivalry with Hank Reinhardt and is a member of Hank’s fight team.

As a youth, Charles was strongly influenced by the writings of Edgar Rice Burroughs and Robert E. Howard. Years of martial arts training, fencing, modern dance and SCA fighting have given him an understanding of physical activity that can’t be gained at the drawing board. Trained at the National Academy of Design and Art Students League of New York, he lives in Atlanta with his wife, Heather.
