Johnna Klukas is an award-winning artist who was a computer scientist and electrical engineer before turning to art full-time in 1997. She has been nominated for the Chesley Award for Best Three-Dimensional Work three times (1999 - 2001) and has won it twice (1999, 2001). She has also been commissioned to produce the bases for the Hugo Awards twice (Chicon in 2000, Millenium Philcon in 2001).

In addition to belonging to the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists, Johnna is a member of the Furniture Society, the American Craft Council and the IEEE Computer Society.

Johnna, along with her husband and a menagerie of dogs and birds, divides her time between Massachusetts and Maine.
