Wm. Michael Mott is the Creative Director for a national toy and manufacturing company. He has been the Creative Director for a high-performance software company, the Art Director for a city newspaper, and has worked as an artist/designer for Fortune 500 companies, for an NSF Engineering Research Center, and for a variety of freelance clients such as book and magazine publishers. He is also a freelance artist and writer, and writes both fiction and non-fiction. His artwork has appeared in many publications, such as Computer Graphics World Magazine, Computer Artist, IEEE Computer, IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, PHOTO/Electronic Imaging, DRAGON Magazine, and others. He's created artwork and graphic design for mass-market book covers, posters, brochures, packaging, CD-ROM covers and art collections, and digital/web-based media, and has won several design awards, from regional Advertising Federation awards for printed material, to awards for web site graphics and design. His artwork has been featured in the exhibition "In Dreams Awake: Art of Fantasy" at the Olympia and York Gallery, 1988; at the 1987 World Fantasy Con, Con*stellation, and others. His fantasy novels, "Pulsifer: A Fable," and "Land of Ice, A Velvet Knife," have been published in electronic form by Softbook Press Inc. (www.softbook.com, now Gemstar), and a series of illustrated short stories begun in 2000, as chapbooks from Undaunted Press (www.undauntedpress.com). He is currently also researching and writing on Fortean and paranormal topics.
 
Mr. Mott has given two lengthy interviews on the syndicated radio show Coast to Coast AM (the most widely-listened to radio program in the world), as well as the James Whale radio show TalkSport, in the U.K., the Frank Whalen radio show in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and over the internet with the Mind, Body, and Soul Network (http://www.mbsnetwork.com). The latter interview is online at mms://66.230.221.178/mbsnet/archive20021219.wma. Most recently, he was a guest on the radio program Strange Universe, on the Talk Radio Network.
