Dale O'Dell is a photo-electronic artist. The majority of his imagery begins as photographs and then is manipulated and composited digitally. In 1983 an image of Dale's was the first completely computer-generated picture ever published in advertising.
Since 1979 he has provided thousands of thought-provoking and surrealistic images for clients such as: ATT, IBM, MCA Records, Magical Blend Magazine, Omni, Samuel Weiser Books, Simon & Schuster, Silicon Graphics, Sharp Electronics, Post-Newsweek and Zebra Books to name a few. His first monograph, Human/Nature, was published in 1997. He is a four-time Communication Arts award winner and the 1995 winner of the Faber Birren Color Award. Operating a full-service photographic and digital studio in Arizona he can provide turn-key illustration services and also maintains a stock image file of over 100,000 photographic and digital illustrations.
