Although I've worked with a number of traditional media, since 1994 I have been working Almost exclusively with computers. They create a unique form of dynamic interplay between the user and machine that I find fascinating. What I do is always a collaboration Between the computer and myself. This is quite often a liberating experience for my subconscious; and unpredictable amazing things are the result. I've rarely had this kind of experience with traditional media.

Since I was young I have enjoyed reading science fiction; and it's exciting to create images from an imaginary future. All the examples here are digital. I utilize 3-D programs and then touch them up in Photoshop. One of the works, "Red Baron", is a collage done in Photoshop. My work has been published in Spectrum, the Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art: "Heavy Traffic", Spectrum 8; "Port of Call", Spectrum 9; "Future 1", Spectrum 10; "Spring", Spectrum 11.

I was born in Frederick, Oklahoma, and raised in the Midwest. I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Northern Illinois University. Currently I live in DeKalb Illinois and teach at Harper College in Palatine. In the past I have taught painting, basic drawing, life drawing and basic design at local area colleges such as College of DuPage and Elgin Community College. For the last seven years I have taught computer Graphics and for the last nine years Film appreciation at Harper College, with the occasional design or drawing class. My visual work has been in numerous regional, national and international exhibitions. My audio work has been broadcast on radio stations in the United States and abroad.
